Dimapur, Oct. 23,2020 : Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, Rothihu Tetseo on Friday informed that one Yilobemo Mozhui, 19, has confessed to the murder of minor girl on the evening of October 21. The body was discovered the following morning, at St. Clare Higher Secondary School in Phevima at Kacharigaon, Dimapur.

Briefing reporters on several issues related to crime in the district at the Commissioner of Police’s office in Dimapur, Tetseo said that the body of the minor girl has been handed over to the family after post mortem, and the results are awaited.
He said that they got the information about the incident around 8 am on Thursday and after the identification of the dead body, the district police arrested Mozhui from his residence in Senjum village ‘within six hours’.
It was informed that Mozhui had studied at St. Clare Higher Secondary School and is currently pursuing theology.
According to preliminary investigation, the accused had befriended the victim on Facebook and convinced her to go for an ‘evening walk’ on that fateful day.
Tetseo also informed that the motive has not been established clearly as investigation is still in the preliminary stage.
