7 from North East cracked UPSC 2021

Kohima, May 30 : In a commendable achievement, four candidates, two each from Manipur and Nagaland cleared the prestigious Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) civil services examination 2021 on Monday.

Of the total 685 candidates shortlisted on Monday, seven from Northeast cleared the prestigious examinations. One from Meghalaya, two each from Assam, Manipur and Nagaland respectively.

  • Wairokpam Punshiba Singh of Manipur secured All India Rank (AIR) of 238
  • Viku L Achumi from Dimapur secured AIR of 567
  • Makakmayum Hosni Mubarak from Yairipok Ningthounai Mayai Leikai of Imphal East secured AIR of 575 and
  • Imsennaro Walling from Mokokchung secured 585th position.

As many as 685 candidates qualified the examination; Shruti Sharma topped the AIR, followed by Ankita Agarwal, Gamini Singla and Aishwarya Verma.
