Ukhrul, October 24 2020: Kuingaila Pheiray , a 93 years old from Ukhrul district headquarters is the oldest COVID-19 survivor in Manipur. She was discharged from the COVID care centre yesterday after she recovered from the virus.
The 93 year old tested positive for COVID-19 on Oct 15 and was immediately shifted to TK Woodland Covid care centre along with four of her family members for treatment. According to reports of Ukhrul District hospital, the in-patients were given necessary vitamins regularly to boost their body immunity.
The utmost care from the district health workers enabled to save the lives of many from this dreadful disease in the district.
Although Ukhrul has recorded numerous Covid-19 positive cases, there is still no report of fatality from the district so far.
Earlier in April 2020, Kerala had recorded a 93 year old man as the oldest COVID-19 survivor.
