After Drishti Rajkhowa arrest, Michael Asom is the new ULFA(I)’s Deputy

Guwahati: After top ULFA-I leader Drishti Rajkhowa fell on police net, the banned outfit of ULFA (Independent) has announced Michael Asom as the new Deputy Commander-in-Chief.

The ULFA-I chief Paresh Baruah informed this via letter addressing to the media on Friday.

The development came after Dhristi Rajkhowa was caught in a joint operation in Meghalaya’s Bolbokgre village in South Garo Hills on Wednesday evening.

He was long been on the wanted list of ULFA (I) insurgent responsible for their militant activities in lower Assam.
