Guwahati: Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Thursday inaugurated state’s maiden Heliport and a guest house in Majuli.
With the aim to develop tourism infrastructure and attract foreign as well as domestic tourists to Majuli, the Assam CM, who also represents Majuli in the Assam Legislative Assembly, took the step.
The Twitter handle of Chief Minister Assam informed about the development by saying, “With the aim to develop tourism infrastructure and attract foreign as well as domestic tourists to Majuli, CM Shri @sarbanandadonowal inaugurated the state’s 1st Heliport and a Guest House at Garamur of the river island district.”
