Delhi, Oct 11,2020: The Central Election Committee meeting of Bhartiya Janata Party(BJP) held on Saturday presided by JP Nadda, National President, BJP has announced the names of party candidates for by-elections to be held different states. BJP candidates list was announced for some Assembly constituencies where by-elections will be held.
The BJP candidates list for bye election of four Assembly Constituency of Manipur were also announced.
- Wangoi Assembly Constituency- Shri Oinam Lukhoi SIngh
- Wangjing Tentha Assembly Constituency- Shri Paonam Brojen
- Saitu Assembly Constituency(Rseserve) Shri Ngamthang Haokip
- Singhat Assembly Constituency: Shri Ginsuhao @ GS Haopu.

WIll BJP Field its candidate in Lilong Assembly Constituency?
No candidate for Lilong Assembly constituency was announced. Lilong Assembly Constituency will also go to polls after its Ex-MLA who was elected on Congress ticket resigned from MLA ship during the trust vote for N Biren Singh’s BJP led coalition government. It may be recalled that N Biren government survived the trust vote following mass exodus from the Congress MLAs.
All the Ex-MLAs from Congress joined BJP except Muhammad Abdul Nasir, Ex-Congress MLA from Lilong Assembly constituency. All the Ex-MLAs joining BJP are expected to get BJP ticket as a return gift.
Ex-Congress MLA, Abdul Nasir seems to non-committal of joining BJP. Given the circumstances, it is still not clear if BJP will field its candidate in Lilong Assembly Constituency
