Imphal, Nov 24,2020: In a developing story accused Birchandra alias G Molecule Sharma in the alleged shooting case of G Surajkumar Sharma has been arrested by Manipur police today morning.
Imphal West district police commando arrested the accused from Thangmeiband area at around 9.00 AM.
The police have also recovered the double barrel used in the crime. He has been handed over Singjamei police station.

Manipur Police had launch massive search operation to arrest the accused since Sunday morning.
Key accused G Molecule Sharma alias Birchandra Sharma shoot to death his own nephew in a cold blooded murder. The victim is 32 year Gurumayum Suraj Sharma. The accused was on the run after shooting dead his nephew with his licensed double barrel gun on November 22, 2020.

Earlier yesterday, Imphal West Duty Magistrate today remanded Gurumayum Gita Paras (47), daughter of murder accused G Molecule Sharma, to 3 days police custody on the alleged charge of conspiring and witholding the whereabouts of the accused.
IO of the case submitted his report that at around 11.30 am G Gope, father of the murder victim lodge a complaint at Singjamei police station against the accused accusing him for the murder of his son, G Surajkumar on November 21 .
During the course of investigation, the house of the accused at Chingamakha Ngakraba Leirak was searched in the presence of witnesses and some documents were seized from the house.
Gita Paras was arrested by observing necessary formalities by women police personnel.
The police accused her of not co-operating in the investigation by withholding information on the whereabouts of her father Molecule, the murder accused and requested the Magistrate for five days police custody for proper interrogation to trace the facts of the crime.
After hearing the report of the IO, the Magistrate remanded G Gita Paras in police custody till November 25 .
