
Guwahati: The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC), Guwahati, has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall in Assam in the state of Assam. The state is likely to witness an increase in rainfall activity for the next three days.
According to RMC, an east-west trough now runs from northwest Rajasthan to west-central Bay of Bengal off the southern coast of Odisha across Northeast Rajasthan, north Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh and extends upto 0.9 km above mean sea level.
Another secondary trough at mean sea level pressure runs from East Uttar Pradesh to North East Assam.
