Kaziranga National Park resumes Elephant safari

Guwahati: Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve has resumed the much awaited elephant safari on Sunday.

The park authorities informed that it has allowed booking for only 37 seats with strict COVID-19 protocols and they have received 100% booking.

Elephant safari is one of the biggest tourist attractions and with its resumption, the park officials are hoping that the inflow of tourists will increase by a large extent.

The world heritage site, which was closed for tourist in March this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, reopened for tourists on October 21.

After its reopening, tourists from Assam and outside the state have thronged in large numbers to visit the park.

The park authorities have been strictly following the COVID-19 protocols and wearing mask and sanitizing hands have been made compulsory for the tourist. The tourists were also asked to maintain social distancing inside the premises of the park.
