LJP MLA Karam Shyam says Biren lacks ethics of running a coalition government

Imphal, Sept 25: Lone Lok Janshakti Party(LJP) MLA and former CAF& Public Distribution Minister Shri Karam Shyam blasted Chief Mnister N Biren Singh. He said N Biren Singh does not follow the ethics of coalition government and does not have any gratitude for the support given to his government.

LJP is a coalition partner of National Democratic Alliance(NDA) . The party has been supporting the BJP led government in Manipur. Shri Karam Shyam was part of the BJP led government in Manipur was a cabinet minister.

Shri Shyam mentioned that he is not disappointment for dropping him from the ministerial post. He will continue to serve not only the people of my constituency but the people of the state as an MLA.

Shyam, however, maintained that the decision whether to continue support or to withdraw support from the government will be taken as per the advice of the national leaders of LJP and the people of his constituency.

Recalling the development works taken up by him when he was the CAF and PD and revenue minister during the span of three years and six months. Shyam contended “dropping me from the ministerial post shows that Biren does not have the quality to give regards to people doing great deeds.”

He further said that he joined the coalition government led by BJP with advice of the national leaders of Lok Janshakti Party (LJP). “It is unfortunate that the BJP did not even consult the national leaders of LJP before making the move and neither did Biren consult me,” he contended.

“Betraying the old cabinet colleagues and appointing new BJP members as ministers will never bring a better result in serving the people of the state,” Shyam added.     

The former minister said that he has supported Biren in every of his steps and decisions taken since the formation of the new BJP led government. He has also supported him even in the time of internal political crisis among the ruling party. He also appealed the newly appointed council of ministers to serve the public with transparency and dedication. 

While saying that the upcoming by-election will decide whether the current government will sustain, he said that it has been left for the people of Manipur to decide on the same.
