Churachandpur, August 10, 2022: Manipur Police detained five Myanmar nationals in Churachandpur district of Manipur. Manipur Police team of Churachandpur police station conducted a search operation on the basis of some specific intelligence inputs regarding the presence of the some Myanmar nationals in Churachandpur district’s Ngathal Village area who were staying without any valid documents.
During the search operations, 5 Myanmar nationals including a Female were found. They could not produce any documents of identity and citizenship therefore were detained after observing due formalities. A suo motto case ref FIR No 131(08)2022 CCP PS u/s 14 Foreigners Act has been taken up for further investigation.
