Nagaland COVID-19 Vaccination: 2873 persons vaccinated

Kohima, Jan. 19 : A total of 2873 beneficiaries including doctors, nurses and support staff have been vaccinated for Covid-19 in Nagaland so far, as the exercise being conducted at 36 sites across the state entered the third day.

The state immunisation officer and spokesperson for Covid-19 vaccination, department of Health and Family Welfare, Dr. Ritu Thurr, informed via an update that 1415 people were vaccinated on Tuesday.

An increase in the number of beneficiaries was observed on day-two of vaccination as 897 persons received the jab against 561 on the first day. However, the number decreased on the third day.

A total of 378 persons were vaccinated from Dimapur district on Tuesday, taking the tally to 657 till date.

Meanwhile, the vaccination drive is yet to start in Noklak district. However, sources from the Health department informed that it will be launched in the district on January 20.
