Portfolio Allocation for BTC Council Members in Assam

Guwahati: The Chief executive member (CEM) of Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) Pramod Bodo on Friday distributed the portfolios to the newly elected council members.

Boro also announced that the first executive council meeting would be held on January 4 in Kokrajhar.

While deputy CEM Gobindo Basumatary was allotted the panchayat and rural development department as well as small scale industry department of BTC, Ranjit Basumatary has been allotted with the forest department.

The water resource department was allotted to Ukil Basumatary and the health and family welfare department to Arup Kumar Dey.

Similarly, Diganta Baruah was given the irrigation department and Ghanashyam Das has been allotted the agriculture department.

While Ranendra Narzary was allotted the transport department, the social welfare department has been allotted to Arpan Gautam Das.

On Friday, an online grievance redressal system was launched in Kokrajhar for addressing the concerns of the people.
