Smart camps for Indian Army troops deployed along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh are ready for use as winter sets in.

The Indian Army has deployed over 50,000 troops in the region to counter China’s salami slicing of Indian territory along the LAC.

These camps are required as temperature dips substantially in Ladakh during the winters, often reaching 20 degrees below the freezing point.

The new state-of-the-art accommodation includes power, water, and heating facilities that also cater to soldiers’ health and hygiene.
