Senapati, Oct 28,2020: Traffic in National Highway NH-2 which connect Dimapur and Imphal has been partially restored after 4 days.
Road connectivity to Imphal remained cut-off since October 24 after a massive landslide between Senapati and Lairouching along the National Highway-2 .

According to The Morning Bell reports, following a great effort from the PWD, an alternate road along NH 2 at Khongnem in Senapati district has been prepared. In a major relief for the public, the road was opened since 12:30 AM and vehicles from both sides have started plying, team K. Arun Singh, EE, NH-1 says the reports.
